The last few days have held for me a fresh revelation of the Lord's wonderful ability to bring about His divine encounters.
And he does it by using an infinite number of varied and ever fresh approaches. As I recognise and experience them, more and more I come to realise just how many I must have missed over the years simply because of my lack of sensitivity and the tardiness of my response.
This week has been just such a time when by the means of the phone ringing, e.mails dropping into my lap and a knock on the door have brought so many precious and wonderful encounters with the Lord through His people. The longer I walk with the Lord the more I come to understand the wonderful ministry of 'availability'. If I understand the 'Ministry of the Sons of Zadok' then I realise that the Lord is not looking for our sweat ( Ezekiel 44:14-19) but rather our willingness to be ready to resopond to His overtures in whatsoever form He presents them to us.
Suffice to say that it has been a time when I have come forth with a fresh appreciation of the constant loving presence and the assurance of the ever present care of the Shepherd of my life. May you even today know the touch of His hand and the knowledge of His loving care for you. The writer was so right when he said he is only a prayer away.
